Around 2,000 people took part in the 10-kilometre race, a record for the event, according to APA. Bakhtiyar Asgarli won the men's race and Anna Yusubova won the women's race.
Run under the slogan "Forward with Pride", the race is part of the commemorations of the 2020 war that restored Azerbaijani control over Karabakh.
Six years on, the commemorations have become a fixture of Baku's calendar, part memorial, part mass sport.
