Kazakhstan's exports of processed farm products reached $3.04 billion in January to August 2026, up 35.1% on the same period last year, according to Kazinform.
Processed goods now make up 54.1% of the value of Kazakhstan's farm exports. Beef shipments grew fastest in money terms, up 78%, followed by feed flour, up 61%, and vegetable oils, up 49%.
The shift matters because Kazakhstan has long exported raw grain and left the processing margin to others. Selling flour, oil and meat instead of just wheat is the difference between being a farm and being a food industry.
