Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev used the Organization of Turkic States summit in Ankara to push initiatives aimed at taking strategic cooperation between Turkic countries to a new level.
According to Uzbekistan's official UzA agency, the proposals focus on stronger economic ties and raising the prosperity of the member peoples, framing Turkic solidarity as a practical project, trade, investment and shared development, not just a slogan.
The Ankara summit has already produced one headline proposal, Kazakhstan's Tokayev floating a wider OTS+ format. Mirziyoyev's pitch is the other half of the same conversation: what the bloc actually does together.
