Iran warned on Sunday that any new war with the United States would face no geographical limits and could last longer than the last one.
Revolutionary Guards spokesman Hossein Mohebbi said a vast theatre had been defined for inflicting damage on an enemy, echoing a message from Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei. Army spokesman Mohammad Akraminia added that President Donald Trump would not dictate when such a war ends.
The warnings come as Washington talks up further strikes on Iranian targets and Tehran has said the Strait of Hormuz stays closed unless its conditions are met. For the Gulf, the message is blunt: the next round, if it comes, would not stay contained.
