NEW: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan personally presented former Kazakh culture minister Dyusen Kaseinov with the Alisher Navoi International Prize for contribution to the unity of the Turkic world, on the sidelines of the Organization of Turkic States summit in Ankara, Kazakhstan.
Kaseinov once led TURKSOY, the Turkic world's cultural organization. The prize named after the great Turkic poet is a reminder that the summit was about culture as well as politics.
