Kazakh and Uzbek fencers take medals at the Asian under-23 championships
Kazakhstan's fencers won two golds at the Asian under-23 fencing championships in Manama, Bahrain: the men's epee team and the women's sabre team, both beating Hong Kong in their finals. The men's sabre team and the women's foil team added bronzes.
Uzbekistan's men's epee team took bronze in the same tournament.
The results continue a strong run for Central Asian fencing, where Kazakhstan in particular has built a steady pipeline of young medalists.
