Man in Uzbekistan sentenced to life for burning a woman and her four children
A court in Uzbekistan's Kashkadarya region has sentenced a man to life in prison for attacking a woman and her four underage children. He poured gasoline on them and set them alight. Two of the children died of their burns; the others survived.
The case is one of the most brutal domestic crimes reported in Uzbekistan this year, and the life sentence is the heaviest the court can impose.
