Rangers in Kyrgyzstan film a bear and a herd of mountain goats
Rangers at the Naryn State Reserve in Kyrgyzstan have filmed a bear and a herd of mountain goats in the wild, footage that has spread quickly because it shows two of the Tien Shan's most iconic animals in one frame.
The reserve's rangers patrol one of Central Asia's most important high-mountain ecosystems, where snow leopards, bears and ibex share the same slopes. Footage like this is also a quiet argument for the reserve itself: the animals are there because the land is protected.
