Kazakhstan's guardsmen can now report problems anonymously by QR code
Servicemen of Kazakhstan's National Guard unit 6654 in Alatau can now send anonymous complaints and suggestions to their commanders through a QR code in the Aitu app, Kazinform reports. Reports on corruption, living conditions and the psychological climate are reviewed within three days.
The platform lets soldiers file reports and track their status. It is currently being tested, with plans to roll it out across all National Guard units.
The idea is simple: a soldier who fears retaliation for speaking up gets a channel that does not require his name. If it works in Alatau, it could change how Kazakhstan's military hears about problems before they become scandals.
