Azerbaijan downs drones and seizes 22.9 kg of drugs on the Iranian border
Azerbaijan's State Border Service has stopped 22.9 kilograms of narcotics being smuggled from Iran, and downed drones that illegally entered the country's airspace, APA reports. The operations took place in the areas covered by the Horadiz and Goytepe border detachments.
Border guards found the drones and seized the drugs during the operations. The combination of drones and drug loads is a pattern border forces across the region have warned about: small unmanned aircraft carrying packages across frontiers that are hard to patrol on foot.
