Erdogan sends Victory Day greetings to Azerbaijan from its own airspace
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has sent greetings to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and the Azerbaijani people from Azerbaijani airspace, while flying to South Korea on an official visit. In his message, carried by APA, Erdogan conveyed his sincere greetings and best wishes on behalf of himself and his delegation on the occasion of Victory Day.
The gesture is small but deliberate. Victory Day on November 8 marks Azerbaijan's 2020 victory in the Second Karabakh War, and a greeting sent from inside Azerbaijani skies, on the way to Seoul, is a reminder of how closely Ankara and Baku stage their diplomacy.
