New Talas Arena opens in Kyrgyzstan ahead of its first league match
A new stadium, Talas Arena, is ready to open in Talas, Kyrgyzstan, AKIpress reports. The first match at the ground, between Asia and Talant in the 29th round of the Kyrgyz Premier League, was due to kick off about an hour and a half after the announcement.
For a regional city, a new arena is more than a sports venue. It is a statement that Talas belongs on the country's football map, and a place for the whole town to gather.
