Uzbeks warned over fake traffic fine texts that can empty bank cards
People in Uzbekistan are receiving fake traffic fine messages purporting to come from the traffic police, Uzbek-MDK warns. The texts, often sent from foreign numbers starting with +212, carry a suspicious link to a fraudulent site, and recipients say a single message can cost them all the money on their bank cards.
The warning is simple: real fines do not arrive by text with a payment link from a foreign number. Anyone who gets one should delete it and check fines only through official channels.
