Eleven children from Karaganda, Kazakhstan, are still in hospital in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, after a poisoning at the Dostlik Cup 2026 youth football tournament.
Most of the tournament participants have returned to Kazakhstan, but as of 3pm, 11 children and three parents remained under doctors' observation in Tashkent, according to Kazakhstan's children's rights commissioner Dinara Zakieva. The children will stay in Uzbekistan until they fully recover.
