Small businesses now generate more than half of Uzbekistan's economy.
Small firms produced 904.8 trillion sum of gross domestic product in January to September 2026, or 53.8 percent of the national economy, according to the National Statistics Committee, Kun.uz reported.
The figure matters because Uzbekistan's growth story is often told through big state projects, while the majority of output now comes from small firms, traders and workshops.
