The mayor's decree orders the seizure of plots to connect the planned Eastern Gates polycentre with Bukhtarminskaya Street. Seven plots in Kairat are listed, including addresses on Korimdik, Novostroika, Zhanadariya and Belbulak streets. The road is part of Almaty's push to open up its eastern edge, but for the families listed, it means losing homes to the city's growth plan.
