Kazakhstan's Atyrau-Samara oil pipeline is pumping again after a drone attack forced a temporary halt, Kazakhstan's energy ministry says.
Pumping resumed after technical inspections, and as of November 3 the pipeline is operating normally, the ministry said. Intake had been suspended on the morning of November 2 after the drone attack on the Samara hub in Russia.
The quick restart matters: the line is a key export route for Kazakh crude, and any longer outage would have hit revenues and buyers alike. No one was hurt in the attack.
