Armenia will withdraw its claims against Azerbaijan in international bodies once a peace deal is signed, the Armenian prime minister's chief of staff told parliament.
Lilit Makunts made the pledge at a joint committee hearing, according to Armenpress via Report. It is the clearest Armenian statement yet that a signed peace agreement would close the legal front of the conflict, not just the military one.
The timing matters: with Azerbaijan marking Victory Day on November 8, both sides are signalling that the post-war settlement is moving from declarations to documents.
