NEW: Nvidia chief Jensen Huang has proposed making Kazakhstan a global hub for physical AI, the branch of artificial intelligence that powers robots and machines that act in the real world, Kazinform reports.
Huang praised President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's goal of turning Kazakhstan into an AI nation. The proposal fits Astana's industrial strategy: Kazakhstan already produces uranium, rare metals and energy, and wants to move from selling raw materials to building the machines that use them.
Physical AI is the next contest after chatbots, and the country that trains robots on factory floors and in warehouses first will own a large share of it. Kazakhstan is pitching itself as that test ground.
