NEW: A Tashkent court has ordered the head of Imarat Development, Marat Khamdamov, held in custody, Kun.uz reports.
The Mirabad district criminal court issued the custody order on November 2, after Khamdamov had already been detained in procedural order. The case, opened on November 1 by Tashkent city police investigators, covers fraud and abuse of office charges.
A custody order against a developer's chief is a signal to buyers and creditors that the case is moving fast.
