NEW: Türkiye and South Korea have signed an agreement on cooperating to finance nuclear power plants, during President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's visit to Seoul, Anadolu reports.
The leaders also discussed raising bilateral trade to 15 billion dollars and expanding defence industry cooperation. The nuclear financing deal is the concrete follow-up to the warm political tone of the visit, where South Korea's President Lee Jae Myung called Türkiye a blood brother.
For Türkiye, which is building its nuclear fleet, Korean financing and construction know-how is a practical prize. For Seoul, it is a foothold in a growing nuclear market.
