President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has announced a major construction programme in Kazakhstan, called People's Construction, with 6.5 trillion tenge to come from the National Fund for new facilities in the regions.
Tokayev also criticised the state of the country's roads, saying years of poor execution by local authorities left a backlog the new programme must clear.
