Two Azerbaijani citizens have died in a road crash in Russia, on the Moscow to Chelyabinsk highway in the Severny district.
According to early reports, a Ford Focus driver overtook where it was banned, crossed into oncoming traffic and hit a truck. The driver died at the scene and the passenger died on the way to hospital. Their identities are being confirmed.
Why it matters: for Azerbaijan's large diaspora in Russia, a highway crash is not a statistic, it is a family tragedy that travels home fast.
