Bomb threats have disrupted flights across Europe today. Spanish authorities searched a Ryanair plane from Manchester after landing in Murcia, evacuating 114 passengers and seven crew, while a plane arriving in Bulgaria was inspected after an emailed threat, and Poland's Warsaw-Modlin Airport closed temporarily over a threat to a flight from London carrying 181 people.
Security checks were carried out in all three cases and investigations are under way.
Why it matters: a single day of hoax threats can ground real planes, close an airport and strand thousands, and authorities must treat each one as real until proven otherwise.
