NEW: Fenerbahçe are set to appoint Emre Belözoğlu as head coach after İsmail Kartal's departure, Turkish commentator Rıdvan Dilmen reported.
Belözoğlu, the former Turkish international midfielder, would take over one of Türkiye's biggest clubs at a moment when the title race leaves no room for a slow start.
The appointment is reported, not yet officially confirmed by the club, but Dilmen's report has set the agenda in Turkish football tonight.
