Shusha's Chatir waterfall, known locally as the 'Shir-shir' waterfall for the sound its water makes, is one of Karabakh's quiet treasures.

Tucked into the Dashalti gorge in Azerbaijan's Shusha district, the waterfall draws its name from the umbrella-like shape of the rock it pours over.

Azerbaijan's liberated Karabakh region is slowly opening its natural sights to visitors again, and this one sounds as good as it looks.
