Iran's Revolutionary Guards say they shot down a US MQ-9 Reaper drone near the Strait of Hormuz on the morning of November 4.
The Guards released footage of the claimed shootdown, APA reports. The US has not confirmed the claim.
Why it matters: the Strait of Hormuz is the world's most important oil chokepoint, and a confirmed drone kill there would mark a sharp step up in the US-Iran confrontation. For now it stands as an Iranian claim, not a confirmed loss.
