More than 30 Russian women have been detained in Turkiye on accusations of violating morality and public order rules, Russia's embassy in Ankara confirmed, Ateo reports.
The women are being held in a deportation centre in the capital.
Why it matters: detentions of foreign nationals on morality charges are rare enough to draw an embassy response, and the case will be watched in Moscow as a test of how Turkiye treats Russian visitors.
