Uzbekistan will build a new system for measuring crime that counts more than police statistics. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree creating an AI-assisted assessment that also tracks hidden crime and how safe people actually feel.
A single digital platform will pool data from state bodies, map crime risks by region and neighbourhood, and forecast where trouble is likely. The law on preventing offences will also be updated.
