Türkiye's air force now has four HÜRKUŞ trainer aircraft in its inventory, after two more completed acceptance by the Defence Industry Agency and the Air Force Command, agency chief Haluk Görgün said.
The HÜRKUŞ is Türkiye's new generation basic trainer, built to train the pilots who will fly the country's future fleet.
Why it matters: every air force is only as good as its training pipeline, and four HÜRKUŞ in service means Türkiye's pilot training is shifting onto its own aircraft, not imported ones.
