Estonia's Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna will visit Azerbaijan in late November to officially open Estonia's new embassy in Baku, he announced.
Tsahkna called Azerbaijan an important partner for Estonia in the South Caucasus, pointing to growing cooperation in digitalisation, trade, green technology and logistics.
Why it matters: a new embassy is a small building with a big message. Tallinn is planting a flag in Baku just as the South Caucasus becomes a corridor Europe cannot ignore.
