Azerbaijan is preparing a sixth social reform package for next year, on President Ilham Aliyev's instruction, the labour and social protection ministry said via Oxu.Az.
Forecasts and proposals on which benefits rise, and by how much, are still being prepared. The ministry said figures circulating on social media about benefit rises are not final, and exact rises will be set by legislation yet to be signed.
Why it matters: millions of pensioners and benefit recipients are waiting on this package, so the ministry is trying to stop rumoured figures from setting expectations before the law exists.
