Two district hospitals in Azerbaijan changed leadership this week.
In Beylagan, Shaiq Shukurov was appointed director of the Central Hospital, after his predecessor Leylan Nasirova moved to Mingachevir hospital. In Fuzuli, Ceyran Vaqif qizi Qahramanova became chief doctor of the Central Hospital, having previously headed quality control at the same hospital.
Why it matters: district hospitals are where most Azerbaijanis outside Baku meet the health system, so these appointments shape everyday care far from the capital.
