Türkiye's new NMS-L 4x4 armoured vehicle, named YETISEN, has entered service with the Turkish security forces for the first time.
The vehicle carries up to five people, has modular ballistic protection, and can be lifted by a CH-47 helicopter. It is named after Infantry Commando Major Murat Kemal Yetisen, who fell in the Claw-Lock operation region.
Why it matters: a helicopter-liftable armoured vehicle gives Turkish units in rugged border terrain protected mobility that heavier vehicles cannot reach.
