A Hong Kong court has sentenced activist Joshua Wong to 10 years in prison.
Wong pleaded guilty to conspiracy to collude with foreign forces, over a campaign that sought international sanctions against mainland China and Hong Kong. The sentence pushes his expected release to late 2036.
Wong, 29, was one of the faces of Hong Kong's 2019 protest movement. The sentence is one of the longest handed down under the national security law, and a signal that Beijing's crackdown on the city's opposition is far from over.
