Delivery robots are coming to the streets of Tashkent.
Yandex Uzbekistan plans to start robot deliveries for its Yandex Lavka grocery service in the capital before the end of the year, the company's head, Izzat Shukurov, told Kun.uz. The small self-driving couriers will carry orders the last stretch to customers.
Tashkent would join a short list of cities where robot couriers are already a normal sight. For a city that has embraced ride-hailing and delivery apps fast, it is the next logical step.
