Armenia plans to keep normalising relations with its neighbours in 2027, its foreign minister said, and to sign and ratify a peace agreement with Azerbaijan as soon as possible.
Ararat Mirzoyan told parliament in Yerevan that Armenia wants the peace deal signed quickly and is working to expand bilateral trade with Azerbaijan. He also pointed to an active dialogue with Türkiye and announced a second Armenian-Turkish business forum in Armenia next year.
Mirzoyan separately said he hopes Russia lifts its restrictions on Armenian farm exports, and that relations with Moscow can be repaired.
In a sign of how far the regional thaw has come, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan plans to attend the COP31 climate summit in Antalya, Türkiye, on November 9-20.
