Cyprus is close to a deal on four new crossing points, according to the Greek Cypriot daily Politis.
The routes under discussion are Haspolat (Mia Milia), Kiraçikoy (Athienou)-Gaziler (Pyroi)-Eglence (Aglantzia) and Akincilar (Louroujina)-Limya (Lympia). For the fourth, the Kambos (Kampos)-Gemikonagi (Karavostasi) line is being weighed instead of Erenkoy (Kokina).
The talks come ahead of a trilateral meeting on Monday at 11:00, hosted by the UN Secretary-General's Personal Envoy, Maria Angela Holguin, at the UN mission chief's residence in the buffer zone, with Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus President Tufan Erhurman and Greek Cypriot leader Nikos Christodoulides.
Smaller confidence-building measures are also on the table. No deal has been announced yet, and Türkiye's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan is expected in the TRNC in the coming days.
