The Turkic states are targeting the second half of 2027 to launch their first jointly built satellite.
The Ankara Declaration from last week's summit in Türkiye says the TDT-SAT, a 12U CubeSat built by the member states, has finished production and is moving into its final test phase. The launch is planned from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.
The declaration also sets up Turkic World Space Days at major international space gatherings, as the bloc turns its cooperation towards space.
