Kyrgyzstan's embassy in Moscow has sent a formal note to Russia's Foreign Ministry after a Kyrgyz citizen ended up in a Russian military unit as a result of fraud.
The man's family says he was deceived into joining the unit and coerced into taking part in the war in Ukraine.
It is the latest case of Central Asian migrants being drawn into Russia's military, and Bishkek is now pressing Moscow for answers through diplomatic channels.
