Police in Tashkent have broken up a fraudulent call centre operating out of a private house in the Yakkasaray district, where 23 foreigners were living illegally.
Three of the men are suspected of illegally buying and selling crypto assets, according to Gazeta.uz. The call centre was running scams from the house, and all 23 foreigners were living there without legal status.
Tashkent has seen a string of call-centre fraud busts this year, as scammers use the city as a base to target victims abroad.
